TUNE TO HEAR pt 6

As a massive fan of sixties acid genre rock I am so excited to discover California trio Ganglians. These guys take a contemporary spin on 60's style drug influenced pop music, and I love what they are doing with it. The harmonic vocals have a haunting moan that accelerates to high pitched delirium amidst the confusion of heavy drums and a delirious scratching guitar riff in the song "Valiant Brave", from the album Monster Head Room. At some points one may even detect sitar like influence in the guitar, much like in the beginning to The Doors Oedipus tale "The End". For that matter, many of Ganglians songs can be tracked directly to major influences from the 60's from the Beach Boys to Jefferson Airplane. In the title track, "Monster Head Room",  a massive attack of high voltage instrumentals is met with a slurry of howling vocals and an almost ghost wind in the background. It's not hard to lose yourself amongst the confusion, and slip into a blissfully trip like state.
