GO TO (TORONTO) pt 1
THE MUSIC GALLERY
http://www.musicgallery.org/

If you're looking for an intimate, casual, and unique concert experience check out the Toronto Music Gallery. This venue caters specifically to unknown bands from a wide range of unusual musical styles and forms. What makes this place such a cool concert experience is that the building is actually the oldest church in Toronto. Concerts are held inside during the winter, where a small stage is set up, and the audience sits in pews. During the summer there's an especially unique atmosphere as the concerts are held outside in the small field of grass that lies between the church and the bell tower. The Area is surrounded by tall plants creating an intimate backyard sort of feel in the middle of downtown Toronto. The small bar setup inside the main building offers beverages unique to most concert venues, such as wine in glasses and tea in cups that you may take to your seat, along with the regulars like beer and water. The gallery was founded in 1976 as a center for creative music, and as far as I can tell, has held true to the original intentions. Go on their website (link above) for concert listings.
